Jinbei West
A new website for an upcoming Japanese + Korean restaurant
OVERVIEW
Jinbei West - Ramen & Sushi
I’ve always loved Airbnb and, I’ve always been a fan of the Olympic Games. Needless to say, it was easy to accept this project. I, unfortunately, can't show everything I did but some of it will be enough to get a glimpse of it. Here I'll describe the flow of athletes receiving their Airbnb credits for the next Olympic games. I also challenged the original brief by proposing some ideas around an interview for each Olympian.

Research
We interviewed key stakeholders, surveyed users who have inquired about the new location to better understand the brand and target audience
User Testing Results
Adjustments were made to the navigation in relation to user tests results to put focus on reservations and online orders as these were the most common use cases. Also increased the amount of information available on the homepage to make finding details easier on both desktop and mobile devices.
Role
I was the UX Designer leading the ideation, research, visual, and interaction design of this 6 month project.
Project Goal
As the opening date approaches, this new restaurant is in need of a new online presence that works on both desktop and mobile devices and drives traffic to the restaurant.
Target Audience
Our target audience is adults in their mid 20s and 30s who enjoy the midtown Atlanta nightlife and have a taste for Japanese cuisine.
Key Challenges
Opening a new restaurant always has a plethora of challenges. For this particular project, knowing the target audience and understanding their needs and motivations to coming to the website was important to ensure the website offered value.

Conclusion
The new website design went over well with the stakeholders and has resulted in a 60% increase in inquiries about the new restaurant since the website’s launch. We plan to continue iterating on the website once the restaurant opens and users provide more feedback.
